Fate's housing stock is overwhelmingly new single-family construction in master-planned communities. Fate's recreation is built around its neighborhood amenities and its location near Lake Ray Hubbard. The city maintains a growing network of parks and trails, and the master-planned communities add pools, playgrounds, and sport courts of their own. Just to the south, Rockwall's Harry Myers Park offers a dog park, swimming pool, playgrounds, trails, sports fields, and a sprayground, while The Harbor on Lake Ray Hubbard provides waterfront dining and entertainment. Boating and fishing on Lake Ray Hubbard, plus the broader Dallas-area park system, extend the outdoor options well beyond the city limits.
